- Clean the surface: Wipe the bag with gentle circular motions, paying attention to the dirtiest areas.
- Dry the bag: Once you've cleaned the bag, dry air, making sure it's completely dry before storing it.
- Avoid direct sunlight: Avoid exposing the bag to direct sunlight, as this could discolor the reed.
- Gently rub the leather in circular motions.
- Rinse with clean, damp cloth. Let it dry air, avoiding direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Cleaning the exterior (leather): Use a damp cloth with neutral soap diluted in warm water.

- Avoid using chemicals: Do not use harsh or abrasive chemicals, as they could damage the reed.
- Store the bag in a cool, dry, dustfree place to prevent mold growth or deterioration of the shaft.
